With over 70km of beautiful, safe and clean beaches stretching from Southport and Main Beach in the North, down through Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, to the home of the Quiksilver Pro & Roxy Pro at Snapper Rocks in Coolangatta.

There is a beach to suit everyone.

There is an amazing amount of open parklands and green space around the Gold Coast. Playgrounds and parks, with free barbeques and picnic facilities.

The Broadwater Parklands are a 3km stretch of recreational park, running along the Nerang River.  There is a BMX and Scooter track, boat ramp and pier, for a spot of fishing, as well as The Rockpools Water Playground and childrens play area.

The Gold Coast is home to a number of National Parks, including Springbrook, with its' spectacular Purlingbrook Falls and glow worm caves.

Lamingington National Park, regularly referred to as Queensland's National Park, is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. The Tree Top Walk at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, is a fantastic way to view the rainforest from deep amongst the tree tops.

Don't let a bit of rain dampen your stay, take a trip to Watling Galleries, Burleigh Heads, Australia's largest private Commercial Gallery.

For a small price, enter into the realms of Australian Surf History at Surf World, in Currumbin, opposite the Currumbin

Wildlife Sanctuary.

Visit the Arts Centre, home to the Gold Coast City Gallery and come away feeling inspired and uplifted.

There are a number of festivals and events which are free to attend throughout the year on the Gold Coast.

The Broadbeach Jazz Festival in August and The Blues on Broadbeach Festival in May.

Surfers Paradise Festival runs for a month between June and July.

In September there is the Gold Coast Multicultural Festival, at the Evandale Parklands, in Bundall.
